On behalf of the Engineering Days Scholarship Committee, I would like to announce the 2013 E-Days scholarship winners have been selected and awarded to three students attending Mines next year. We'd like to thank those that submitted applications and convey that among the hundreds of essays we read, the committee thoroughly enjoyed the creative spins off this year's prompt. A job well done to all those who participated.
For those who are interested in pursuing next year's Colorado School of Mines E-Days scholarship opportunity, please know that to be eligible for the award a student must be a Colorado resident, a high school senior, graduating from a Colorado high school and planning to attend Colorado School of Mines (matriculating the following Fall). Each award is a four-year (eight semesters), full resident-tuition scholarship.
The E-Days scholarship application is updated every year with a new prompt and can be found on this page beginning mid January, 2014.
Many factors including extracurricular activities, athletics, community service, and work experience, along with a thoughtful, proficiently written essay are considered in the selection of the E-Days Scholarship award. I would like to emphasize that students should consider the essay as integral aspect of their application.
If you have any questions, please contact me by email at E-Days-Scholarship@mines.edu.
Thank you for your time and cooperation.
2013 E-Days Scholarship Committee Chairman
